What is so meaningful about these trips is that it isn't just our church going into a community and serving, but it's about the larger Episcopal youth community in Colorado coming together, building relationships with each other and the communities we serve, and having a blast while doing it! Last year we sent three youth to Salt Lake City and they all came back with new friendships or rekindling old friendships from other Diocesan events, in addition to the fun an meaningful work they did.

The service projects this year are going to be especially awesome! When youth leaders from around the Diocese were planning these trips, we considered two things: where is there need and how can we work with communities that we have relationships with? The answer was that there is a lot of need right here in our very own backyard! The Cathedral has the opportunity to host the Denver trip as well, which means this is going to be like a week long lock-in with 80 friends and we'll get to help those in need! For our High School trip we partnered with Next Step Ministries which builds relationships with various communities before hosting mission groups. This means that the projects we work on will really be meaningful to the community.  And when we're not working we'll be goofing off and growing closer to God and each other! Finally, we are partnering with El Hogar for a young adult (High School graduates only) trip to Honduras. This came about because of one of our volunteers who is passionate about serving the Honduran people!

These are awesome opportunities that your child won't want to miss!
