Imagine - St. John's Youth Are Going to Quest
This past fall, Tina and I both had the opportunity to attend Quest, the diocesan youth retreat, for the first time. We had both heard so much about it and were excited to experience it for ourselves. What we discovered when we got there was deep community, relevant faith messages for youth, and a lot of fun! Youth and volunteers from St. John's and St. Barnabas both had a great time and left looking forward to come back.
We're going back to Quest this Spring, April 20-22, and hoping to take more youth to experience it for themselves! There are so many voices telling youth who they are and who they should be, including parents, friends, classmates, employers, guidance counselors, colleges, etc. Quest is a place where youth can cut through the noise of all those voices to hear who God says they should be.
In addition, the Spring Quest is going to be tackling what God calls us to do, being people for justice and living out our Baptismal Covenant. Read below for the weekend theme and a link to sign up. This is going to be a fun and worthwhile weekend that you won't want to miss!

What is our value in the world? Sometimes it can be hard to remember that we are unconditionally loved children of God. In God’s eyes we are already more than enough. But what about our neighbors — the people next door, the person sleeping in the doorway, the people crossing borders to find a new
home, the people in the world we completely disagree with? As believers in God’s unconditional love
for all, there is no place for hate, prejudice, and apathy.
So let’s reverse it! Reverse the hate, the prejudice, the apathy. Let’s live into our baptismal covenant
and strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being. With
God’s help, we can begin planting the seeds of change and when we find injustice, reverse it!
